Fun in the car
|
|
To keep kids while in a car can be a tedious task. They simply cannot stay put. They would think of anything and everything to keep themselves amused. Here what they did recently while travelling from Opah's house in Cheras .. on our way home ... happily giggling playing with Zinnirah's tudung. How much alike they were ... they look almost the same in tudung

Little Ihtifal
|
|
The kid's kindergarten held its annual concert today. It was called "Little Ihitifal" titled "Little Khalifah and the Magic Castle". It was a success. More than 2 months of hard work really paid off. The kids were so enthutiastic. Bersemangat sungguh. So proud of them. They had so much fun on stage. For Irfan, this year was the second year he participated in Little Ihtifal. It means that it was his last. Next year he'll be in Year One.
It was the very first for Zinnirah ... and she will have another 2 more Little Ihtifals to go.
I tried my best to capture their best moments on stage. Since our sits were quite further up in the very packed auditorium, the image was a bit blurred but Photoshop did a little justice to it! hehhehehehe

Laksa
|
|
There are various types of laksa in Malaysia. Laksa Penang, Laksa Kedah, Laksam, Laksa Johor, Curry Laksa, Asam Laksa Baba Nyonya and Laksa Sarawak .. just to name a few.
My all time favourite is Laksa Kedah. It's simple to prepare yet very delicious. What makes laksa special is its gravy - a combination of fish meat and stock, belacan, tamarind skin (asam gelugor), chilli paste and laksa leaf (daun kesum). hmmmmm yummy ...
Hari-hari makan laksa pun takpe .... a big pot of laksa could last for at least 3 days ... pagi, tengahari, petang, malam .. penangan laksa memang power!!
quote]Laksa
What does "laksa" mean? It means "ten thousand," because there are SO many condiments to be added. This Southeast Asian fast food -- said to be the creation of ancient Chinese who migrated to Malaysia -- is sold as a meal from thousands of soup vendors, all of whom have their own special recipe. The one that follows is, I think, a good start for entering the world of laksa. If you gather all the ingredients and take it one step at a time, it's really pretty easy. [/quote]

Akad Nikah
|
|
OOpppsss!!! Not MY ceremony.
It's been a while since I went to an "akad nikah" ceremony. Usually, we went to the "kenduri" and the "bersanding" ceremony .... ate free food , looked at how people dressed themselves , commented on the bride and groom and brought home lots of eggs!
On Saturday 4th Sept, hubby's niece tied the knot. She's only 20 and the groom was 23 years. Cute and bubbly couple. Here some photos of the akad nikah ceremony.

Irfan, Zinnirah & Syabil
When it comes to water, children have a problem resisting it. Be it at the beach, stream, wading pool and even in the bathroom ... they were like ducklings ...all scrambling, running, jumping to "embrace" it.
Kalau depa mengamuk, meragam ... the magic word is always "MANDI!"
lepas 2 jam ... it's quite an effort to make them leave the pool. After that .. semua "pengsan" kepenatan.
